But really though, Laura Stevenson's new album is phenomenal, definitely worth a place on any top album list of 2013, regardless of whether it is included on RYM's top 100. There's some good stuff on this list though. Really loved that Deafheaven album. (and I was surprised)

Well, by chance my top 10 albums of 2013 are all in the top 100 most highly rated albums of 2013. what can i do? lie to myself and suddenly like diffrent things?

Can I also hop on what Pete's saying and predict that we see Laura Stevenson and Kurt Vile enter 1 and 2
Nope the list is in not in any particular order.
And I think my list is pretty diverse, containing many diffrent genres.

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels
I'm usually not the biggest hip-hop fan, as I will be the first to admit, but I really enjoyed this album.
Its intense, fun and has many epic moments that made me dig it.to put it out simply, its badass.
This album has a huge replay value, partially because of its short lentgh, but mainly because of its superb compositions and performance. if you want something intense, fun and badass, you have it here.

The Knife - Shaking The Habitual
Unusual, Insane, Unique, Experimental - are all adjectives that describe quite well the new album of the swedish electronic duo, The Knife - Shaking The Habitual.
Alternating through downright odd synth pop songs and mesmerizing and eerie ambient songs, Shaking The Habitual is one of the most unique albums of this year. but its also one of the best.
With a sprawling 90 minutes of experimental music,It is a very hard album to get into, but once you get it, there is no way back. absolutely incredible.

Jon Hopkins - Immunity
A fantastic Ambient/IDM album by the UK producer Jon Hopkins.
Its so subtle and calm with its approach, its one of those albums that if you wont pay attention to them, you will miss everything out, because of the laid back nature of it.
It is a masterfully produced album with alot of creative sounds and beautiful ambient landscapes, highly suggested to anyone who dig that kind of music.

Kurt Vile - Wakin On A Pretty Daze
The new album of the psychadelic folk artist kurt Vile is simply gorgeous.
The hazy folk sounds Kurt is creating in this album are beautiful, and even the rockiest moments of this album are still laid back, and his voice takes it even further with his hazy yet honest nature.
Highly suggested to anyone who is into that kind of music and wants some atmospheric folk music.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
