Default Your Genre Defining Mixtape

I saw something like this on a forum, could have even been this one, but I searched and didn't find one.

So if aliens landed on Earth, and demanded you to define for them a certain type of music by without actually verbally explaining it, (and if it does not suffice, they will execute you) what would you burn on their CD? It'd be nice to keep it general album appropriate, you know, ten or so songs, perhaps a little more. Unless you're making a grindcore tape of course.

Thrash metal

1. Anthrax - Caught in a Mosh
2. Demolition Hammer - .44 Caliber Brain Surgery
3. Metallica - Whiplash
4. Sepultura - Dead Embryonic Cells
5. Slayer - Angel of Death
6. Kreator - Flag of Hate
7. Exodus - Piranha
8. Sodom - Agent Orange
9. Destruction - Nailed to the Cross

See, a simple, generic, and easy example, but I think an alien would understand after listening to this.

I've always liked my Beginner's Guide to Post-Punk mix

1. "Disorder" by Joy Division
2. "White Rune" by Iceage
3. "Shot By Both Sides" by Magazine
4. "Damaged Goods" by Gang of Four
5. "Don't Fall" by The Chameleons
6. "Complications" by Killing Joke
7. "Memories Can't Wait" by The Talking Heads
8. "Pink Flag" by Wire
9. "Sense of Purpose" by The Sound
10. "Youth of America" by The Wipers

I decided to cut a few songs from the original 15 track length to keep with 10 song theme and I would probably change up the order a bit so they flow better.
