Cheap ($50) vs Expensive ($200) earphones
Hey all! I've been mulling over whether it would be wise to change my current sennheiser cx 200 street ii earphones for a pair of Shure SE215. Would i really hear such a significant difference between the both of them? Also, would burning in my earphones significantly improve its performance?
Thanks in advance for your help guys! |

I'm not sure about Shure's products (no pun intended), but SE215 has high grades for sound quality. By the way you can probably find the SE215 at a much lower price than $200 on the internet. I'm seeing a prices at between $99 and $120. PC Magazine has made the Shure SE215 the Editor's Choice for medium price range headphones. I think high quality headphones make a huge difference in sound quality and it's the cheapest way to upgrade the quality of your digital music.

Usually the better the earphones the worse poor quality recordings will sound on them. For 200 dollars you have quite a few choices,I would advise you to shop around and listen to different brands before making the investment.

'cheap' - $$50??? wow i have like $10 headphones and they work fine. i dont buy expensive things like sunglasses or headphone, i break or lose them too easily. i have listened to nice headphones though and can tell a difference, just not enough to justify so much $$$$$
