Nickelback vs Justin Bieber
Tell me, who can be called better? Regarding musical quality.
I'll tell you something funny: I saw a post on fb, a guy I know but I'm not friends with was bitching about Justin bieber comming to our country, he called him ****, and said why didn't worthy bands came here. He mentioned NICKELBACK. Haha, I wanted to say that Nickelback is pretty much the JB of rock, regards to reputation, but I didn't. I'd like you to post with a musical opinion, not just falling into bandwagoning. |
Really?
|
The comparison between those two is weird. It's like comparing Pearl Jam to NSYNC.
Nickelback is pretty unoriginal, boring grunge rip-off and turned it into pop-rock. Justin Beiber is the kind of boy popstar that young girls swoon over. But I still can't really make a comparison between the two besides being pop. |
You must be the guy that goes to a youtube video of AC/DC's Back in Black and posts comment about how you're only 13 and you like "real music" and then ramble off 4-7 classic rock bands from the 70's and 80's.
|
I'd say Nickelback. Their songs all sound the same, and there's nothing special about it, but Justin Bieber's music is completely nauseating. At least Nickelback doesn't play glitter pop.
|
Bieber is superior.

you'll all feel stupid when in a few years Bieber grows as an artist and drops an album similar to the 20/20 experience. you'll all bandwagon then, I tell ya.

Have you listened to The 20/20 Experience? I think it's fantastic.

I liked Nickelback's first 2 or 3 albums (kinda lost touch with their music after that). I like a lot of their rock ballads Ive heard on the radio through the years.
I admit a lot of their music does sound the same. But that doesn't mean that they aren't a good band with some really good songs. I like Photograph and Far away, as well as a couple other songs by them too. I agree with others, this is an awkward comparison. |
This has to be my favorite Nickelback song. It doesn't sound like the other ones that get radioplay and I use it while playing racing video games. It makes pretty decent driving music.
|
No Nickelback thread is complete without this. Edit: Oh yeah, I'm supposed to contribute to this thread as well. I can spot a Nickelback song, even if I had never previously heard it. I can't with Biebs. I have more negative things to say about Nickelback, but I also have more positive. All I know about Justin Bieber really is that it's really cool to think he's gay. It's a wash. |
A few Nickelback songs are good, including "How You Remind Me," "Too Bad," and "Rockstar." Beiber hasn't done one that's at that level, in my opinion, although of course his voice is much better than Chad Kroeger's. Why the comparison? Because they're probably the two-biggest male-fronted Canadian international acts of the past 15 years.

I think the entertainment value of this thread pretty much begins and ends with the small snort of almost-laughter I gave when I saw the thread title.
|
I've got a better competition, Nickelback vs. Justin Bieber vs. the fart I just had and put in a mason jar.
|
hate both
|
They are both equally uninteresting! :)
|
Nickleback.
Justin Bieber sucks. |

http://cdn.wl.uproxx.com/wp-content/...impson-gif.gif Be back when it gets to page 10. Justin Bieber all the way though. |
Justin Bieber is great..

Its like one-off drop-ins know exactly the kind of thread that attracts other one-off drop-ins.
"What sort of thread requires the least amount of thought due to its comparison between two musical acts that inspire uneducated, abject hatred? "Bieber and...bieber aaaaaaan - ****ing Nickleback. Nailed it" |

we should have a pool here.
Nickelback vocalist Chad Kroeger has recently been honored by the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada. The musician is reportedly the most performed songwriter in the SOCAN history, which spans a grand total of 30 years. |
