Your favorite two-man band?

Mine will forever be Local H seeing as how they are my favorite band :D

They always put on the best high-energy shows. I also love The Black Keys with a passion they put on some great shows as well!

Hmmm... depends what you mean. Do they count as a two man band if there are two official members, but they are a larger band when they tour?

Sounds like that's the case, since The Black Keys are mentioned. At least I think they tour with more people.

First that comes to mind for me would be Pinback. They are officially a two-man band but have a touring drummer, sometimes maybe a second guitarist...maybe not.

John Martyn and Danny Thompson were frigging amazing but not officially a band.

Japandroids are decent.

Just waiting for every one and his dog to drag up White Stripes.

Well, if that's the case then I think I'd probably go with Alien Sex Fiend. Not only are they a longtime favorite band of mine who've been making great music for about 30 years, but they're also a husband and wife, which is something I find kind of endearing about them.

Their Edit/Overdose DVD is a selection of Promo vids, outtakes and live stuff and I'm pretty sure that the live stuff has more than the two of them. Don't quote me though as it's been a while since I played it and my DVD sleeve has no band info. Apart from that it's a great DVD!

Yep, they tour with a larger band, but I was going by Sidewinder's rules where it still counts as long as there are only two official members. :)

Does it count if they're not men?

djchameleon 06-04-2013 08:40 PM

The Dresden Dolls and The Kills

Oh yeah and Tenacious D counts also.
