Default The Official Everlast Thread

In my opinion, Everlast (Erik Schrody) is one of the best musicians of all time. No doubt, he was very successful between 1998 and 2004. He mixed blues with hip hop. His songs are very addictive and they tell many stories.

This hit gets played on the radio from time to time:

Everlast vs. Eminem:

I know that this beef (or feud) ended several years ago, but there is one thing that I would like to point out... Everlast can take a lot more damage than Eminem. Everlast appears to be tougher than Eminem. (I respect Eminem, but I think that Mr. Schrody is the tougher man.) In "I Remember", Eminem brought up the topic of Everlast's health, his career, and his friends from House of Pain. These are all personal issues. But Everlast responded in a calm manner; he wasn't hurt by Eminem's "I Remember". On "Wh*tey's Revenge", Everlast brought up the topic of Eminem's wife, his mother, and a few other personal issues. Eminem was deeply hurt by the song. On "Quitter", Eminem sounded very angry.

^

If you analyze the beef from a lyrical perspective, Eminem won the battle. But if you analyze the beef from a psychological perspective, Everlast won the war.

Everlast was at the top of the music charts with House of Pain and while solo. Always liked him and thought he was a talented musician. Eminem appears to be quite the angry little fellow when it comes to Everlast.

Can you believe it? Everlast actually produced a song with Eminem! Why would these two musicians work together? I think that these musicians have forgiven each other, but I never expected them to actually do this...

My favorite song by him is a very atypical one. "Hot to Death" - it sounds more like Sugar Ray than Everlast.

House of Pain had its moments, but I absolutely can't stand "Top o' the Morning to Ya".
