Default What's The Best Album From The Year You Were Born?

For me, it has to be Nirvana's 1993 album, In Utero. In Utero is also the greatest album of all time, in my opinion. What's your favorite album from your birth year?

the end of the 80s was sort of a disaster for music, but I'm not ashamed to say that I'm slowly warming up to Sparks' "Interior Design", and in my youth Motley Crue's "Dr. Feelgood" was in heavy rotation.

I would disagree with that statement. The late '80s had something for everyone. If you wanted Alternative Rock, you had bands like The Pixies, Nirvana, and Mudhoney. Do you like Metal? If so, Metallica, Slayer, and all the other Thrash bands had you covered. Want to listen to Rap? This was the era of The Beastie Boys, NWA, and other influential rappers. Not to mention bands like Guns 'n' Roses were huge during that time. No matter what you listen to, the late '80s have you covered.

I'm just slowly getting into metal this past year (surprisingly) and discovering late 80s/mid 90s stuff so I guess you've got me there - I'm just unfamiliar. My expertise is in the 60s/70s.

LOL. I was just freaking out at that myself. First thought was "He was born '93? How old is he?" followed by the shocking realisation that he could be 20! That is a kick in the nads.

Edit: Sorry, no offense Sane Psycho. Just feeling old.

LOL, none taken! Don't worry, I won't be 20 until October. Maybe that will make you feel younger.

Maybe American Football's eponymous full-length album.

wait, you're 14?

On quick glance at the year I was born (93) there's a lot of stuff I haven't listened to so my opinion can't be too concise but I'll go with;

Afghan Whigs - Gentleman

Not even my favourite album by the band, but 1993 didn't look like a great year for music all though there are a few albums I'd like to listen to from that time. I've never been a massive 36 Chambers fan either.

EDIT: That image is rather small. Oh well.
