I need to listen to that album again. I've had it for a long time but only given it a few spins. I can see where it would be something that requires many listens to fully appreciate.

When OPM came out I first heard 'Weak Become Heroes' and thought it was shit. Yeah BIDC is a classic don't think anyone disagrees with that. When I Luv U came out I just thought 'What the hell is this?' |

The clear choice here is any other. There have been so many phenomenal albums coming out in the 2000s and none of those albums stick out to me at all as best of that decade. I'd pick...
Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise The National - Alligator The Hold Steady - Boys & Girls In America Iron & Wine - The Creek Drank The Cradle Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy Madvillain - Madvillainy Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies The Microphones - The Glow, Pt 2. Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains - Caught In The Act of Not Being Awesome (Okay that last one was stretching it a bit, it's just a personal favorite of mine, but I tried to keep the other albums to ones that were consistently on year end lists when they came out, that I also happen to love.)

The problem with Franco Pepe Kalle is that he is a unpredictable character. There is surprising info about this man. You think he only likes Franco and Pepe Kalle but when you find out that he hears other artists, you are shock. Girls are the sexy thing that God created. Important to notice FPK. |

The **** outta here, I know music like most things is supposed to be subjective blah blah blah, but I'm not having that. Genius, really? You probably should have just posted this in the Indie/Alternative forum but my choice happens to be on that list and it's The Strokes - Is This It Although I do feel the same way about this album I happen to think their best work to date is Humbug. Whatever People Say That I am Thats What I'm Not is a brilliant album and my coming of age album I guess, I was 17 and had got my first proper job and moved in to my own flat. Good and bad memories this album will always take me back there, also as a debut album it stands up on its own like Is This It, it was a tough call.
