That's where the problem is. Keep in mind that no top ten list is ever definitive, for example Rolling Stone and Q tend to be aimed at a particular audience while if a magazine like Metal Hammer or a DJ magazine was to compile a list it would be completely different. You will never get a list that accurately represents the decade.

Will be interesting to see if someone else's top 10 or top 5 is met with the same kind of universal love.
For me the closest list to being any way 'definitive' would be Rate Your Music's top albums of the 00's. The user catchment is far more varied than the readership of magazines like Rolling Stone or Q and the result is a far more diverse list.

As for someone's own personal list, you will see that everyone's list will be different as people here have widely varied tastes and a subjective view on music.

Even then, there are a lot of questionable choices that are very high. (Vespertine, Third, etc.)

Arctic Monkeys debut is in there, cool. But no Original Pirate Material or Boy In Da Corner?

one of the most intricate, elegant, and awe inspiring records ever. I could get lost in all of the layered, interesting and multifaceted tracks. Not to mention it's hella beautiful.
