Default Casino tours?

Are they as bad as my imagination? I have not been to any of the near-by casinos (there are 3 or4 with-in a couple hours drive) at all much less for a concert. The spaces used for concerts could be really nice auditoriums. But I am pictureing half full carpeted ballrooms.

I've only been to one casino ballroom in town to see a show and it's a mixture of booths and an open floor.

Yep, the ballroom there is pretty good. I've seen Joe Satriani, Matisyahu, The Dub Trio, Deftones, Opeth, Mastadon, and Ghost all at that venue. I kind of like the seating area too because you still get a great view of the show and can sometimes meet new people.

Do you mean a gaming table or a dining/bar table?

More like dining tables. For whatever reason I can't find a picture on Google, so here's the floor plan

Good idea. Look at the web sites. I did and it did nothing to dispel my image.

I've been to one: the Trump Taj in Atlantic City. It was built for boxing matches so the layout is a little odd for a concert and you had to completely leave the concert and walk through the casino to use the restroom, but beyond that it was alright.

Just like everyone else casinos are trying to figure out how to bring in people so what better way then to get some baby boomer bands and hope Mom and Dad will lay some cash down on the table before the show.....Most of the venues are small and are perfect for those greatest hits tours!
