Default This Is Your Scenario Now Give Me A Tune

Simple premise. I will give you a set up or scenario every couple of weeks where you could be and you have to post tracks that best describe your mood if you were there or feeling a particular emotion and why the music you have posted relates to it.

Beware! I will pick the most random things and maybe dark places at times!

1. The Beach.

The beach can seem like a place of happiness, endless possibilities and warmth but there are others who may not have even seen a beach or have visited one so here are a couple from me:

Whenever I hear this track I want to be the only person on a beach. I don't want anyone or anything interrupting my train of thought which is both optimistic and melancholy.
The pulsating yet monotonous bassline in this track perfectly captures this dichotomy. The slow rumble of the rhythm represents the tides but the Horn solo really gets inside my head and makes me feel like I am just an innocent bystander in the relentless march of the earth.

Everything is beautiful here. Nothing else matters apart from that golden sunlight invigorating me and making me feel not just warm physically but mentally too.

I am at peace here and at this time I don't want to be anywhere else. I hope it stays this way.

Love this thread!! Good show ol chap!

The beach generally means time of peace and happiness for me. If I'm looking to relax and unwind during summer that's the place to be. Grab a few friends, some brews and some acoustics and the good times are on the way.

Its also a good place for isolated thoughts too, just kind of escape for a little while as the waves flow. I like to sit on the beach at night and just space out. It's so mellow out there, like the world just kind of stops for a little while and you can chill with no worries.

I've loved this song and relate it to a beach setting ever since I heard it in this one snowboarding movie where the guy would remember his ex and this song would get played.

One of my fave beach-esque hip hop tracks. I have zoned out to this track while imagining myself on a beach and I'm not even the biggest fans of beaches. Well US ones anyways.

The beach? Hmmm... could go either this way:

...or this way:

I once rented a houseboat and was listening to this album quite a bit during that time, so this always reminds me of the beach too, with it's ebb and tide all flowing together through one mans fingers:

Obvious yes, but even leaving the title out of it, this still sounds like lay-back-in-the-sun music to me....

PS Yeah, great thread Lee: good to see you starting them again!

This song is quite serene and beautiful. Watching the sun set on the horizon to this song would be most appropriate because the swells at the end remind me of green flashes. Slow ambient pieces like this remind me of the beach because I usually camp out and watch/listen to the waves when I go there.

Always makes me think of the beach... which is odd because I HATE the beach...
