worst music

hey there. its zinia7 again. so yesterday i asked whats your favorite music was:wave:. but now i want to what kind of music you find horible and could you tell me the reason of it

ZiggyStardust 04-14-2013 03:36 AM

Generally anything by Niki Minaj, Justin Beiber, Taylor Swift, One Direction or Kesha

zinia7 04-14-2013 03:45 AM

i haven never heard of the first one. why don you like there music. im a curious person

ZiggyStardust 04-14-2013 03:49 AM

It's mainstream pop. It's mass produced rubbish for promiscuous teeens.

zinia7 04-14-2013 03:51 AM

ther you got a point, and thats why i dont listen to regular radio any more. but on the internet there is a radio station that dont have song what you mention. like pinguinradio.nl

porkchop 04-14-2013 04:57 AM

Online radio is just as bad most of the time. Unless they are doing it as a hobby and spend the money out of their own pocket, most online radio stations play the same stuff over and over again, to appeal to the casual listener that just wants to hear the hits. Thus, allowing them to pay their server bills and royalties.

Isbjørn 04-14-2013 05:11 AM

What Ziggy said, Linkin Park and PSY. They're overrated, and I don't get it. Some songs are all right, but when people adore mediocre music, it's a real challenge not to hate it.

RoxyRollah 04-14-2013 07:41 AM

Nickelback....need I say more?

zinia7 04-14-2013 08:40 AM

pinguin radio.nl, plays never the same kind of music. why dont you like nickelback. and why dont you like linkin park and psy. i cant quote yet thats why i answer your questions like that

I think nowadays it's better to have an opinion about Nickelback than be neutral. Personally, I don't think that they're too bad, I mean, surely they can't be worse than Beiber?

You don't need 15 posts to quote. Just click the quote button at the bottom of whatever post you're answering.

I don't like Linkin Park because I think they are overrated. They play mediocre music, yet they are one of today's most popular rock bands. And for PSY: Gangnam Style is catchy, but repetitive and simple. I have never been a fan of electronic/dance music, either.

thats a good point you give, right now i want to discover new music, every style. im open for almost any music:D

Isbjørn 04-15-2013 08:01 AM

Please, use the multiquote function! The button is right next to the normal quote button. Press it on all posts you want to quote before going into the post editor.
Yes, I agree with you that PSY is funny. He really is. It's just that I don't see the quality in the music, which I think is the most important.

The worst music is an entire massive genre with over a century of output that spans everything from dance music to experimental music to pop music?

Wow.

Norg 04-15-2013 10:00 PM

So that means your music is bad too?

CrazyVegn 04-15-2013 11:33 PM

"Screamo" I guess, dunno. . .

Paul Smeenus 04-15-2013 11:47 PM

The only music IMO that is just plain universally BAD is Muzak. Elevator music. The purpose behind Muzak is to remove any semblance of expression or flavor, to make is as bland as possible. That, IMO, is the opposite of music.

Anything else is a matter of preference.

Scarlett O'Hara 04-16-2013 12:50 AM

I just don't see any reason to focus on the worst music because obviously I'm not going to listen to it.

Afro Blue 04-16-2013 02:21 AM

scary

im not sure if this apply.. but i once had to stop listening to the album Transmigration Macabre from Ravi shankar.. i got freaked out, i dont know what happened but it made me feel so weird that i just had to stop listening to it.

other than that, im Mexican and there's lots of music in Spanish that talks about the narc lifestyle, and that has all this crappy attitude in it that i just cant relate to. its just unconscious programing peoples minds to keep at that low vibration and just doing damage to how people grow up.. all of a sudden some kids think its cool to be a sicario and to go around with guns.

Zer0 04-16-2013 03:28 AM

My Bloody Valentine is the worst music. It's just a load of noise with no real music. You can't even hear what they're singing and their guitars sound weird and way out of tune.

lol

misspoptart 04-16-2013 03:45 AM

I generally think furious music is ****ty. When people are screaming, swearing, and just in general raging on the microphone my ears feel so offended. :( I just don't think anger and music go together.

I do think it's possible to sing anger in more lighthearted ways, such as what you hear in a lot of Ska or other rock/alternative genres (I guess mostly nu-metal), or even in comedic music. I guess if it's a serious, I'm-going-to-kill myself anger, I just don't relate to it. So I'd say that is the worst kind of music.

djchameleon 04-16-2013 04:09 AM

furious music as you say has a specific purpose to me. I either use to get pumped up during exercising or to help calm me down when I'm pissed off at something. I have a specific playlist dedicated and waiting for those times.

Other than that, I have to go with Smeenus that anything else besides the tunes they use for elevator music and being placed on hold is just a matter of preference on a sliding scale.

I think screaming can be a good element sometimes, The Fall of Troy screams a lot, for instance. But of course, it can be too much sometimes.

Joxer 04-16-2013 06:02 AM

For me it would anything poppy where you can almost smell the "songwriting-by-numbers" style (nonsense lyrics, clunky key changes, bad synth etc.)

i understand that, but not all nu metal is wors, you got all kinds of metal, like symphonic metal where the singers doesnt scream at all
