Almost the entire genre *of* country & gospel music is pretty horrid tbh

I dont really care for anything that has hard core screaming, shouting, yelling, slurring of words. I just cant understand a thing they say and to me, with screeching and what not they ruin the music and what could be potentially great lyrics. It gives me a headache...
But yet i dont seem to mind the music that has actual singing and a little bit of screaming. Just that constant screaming... its horrid. |

metal. I dislike almost all subgenres of metal, although i used to listen to it quite alot.
I think it's plain boring, repetitive and too dark... It's also the agressiveness in the music that just doesn't interest me. For the rest, I can't stand Queen.

Why don't you like Queen? I see why people don't like their major hits from the mid-80s, but they actually have a lot of great songs, which made them my favourite band.

I guess Queen is a bit too cheesy for me, while Muse can balance the cheesiness with heavier guitar and piano parts, more 'solid' rock songs. It's kinda hard to explain

Oh, ok. I think you should check out some of Queen's not-so-well-known songs, though, especially from the 70s. They are quite varied, and different from what they were to produce later.

Freddie Mercury isn't singing ALL their songs, Brian May and Roger Taylor sing sometimes, too. Anyway, I think his voice is pretty good, and I admire his high vocal range. But maybe that comes from having been overly obsessed with the band.

Btw, those songs you gave me... They're not too bad. The Prophets Song has a really cool proggy feeling, but the opera part in the middle isn't my thing :P And '39 is not Queen-like at all. I wouldnt even believe you if you told me this was them! But that's a really good song. The other two are meh.
