Quality or quantity?
in regards to music and bands
which kinda person are you? a person who knows alot of bands but don't focus on any specific one or a person who doesn't know alot of bands and focuses on the bands he already knows? if you happen to be both plz pick the one that suits you the most i myself tend to focus on the bands i already know it's hard for me to really get into a new band, it doesn't happen often idk what precisely i want from a band but i have to feel something that draws me in to them, i honestly don't care if other ppl think the band is genius if i don't like it i don't see it i'll give u a quick example i gave 'Tame impala' a try because i saw alot of ppl praising the band but i didn't find it THAT special, i mean they sounded good but no big deal on the flipside, a user here introduced me to this band 'Hammer no more fingers' and even though the band is less ambitious and more simple i liked it more (BTW just like main question, this is a matter of taste not specifically what's better)

Cream in the late 1960s.
Only made 3 albums, but oh boy are they good. Jimi Hendrix only made 2. Some of the best stuff out there. I'll take quality over cheap mass produced crap any day.

But if we focus on just the stuff we already know and love how will we discover good new music?

Preferring quality over quantity doesn't mean I'm not still constantly discovering new things.

4? Cry Of Love? Technically its a posthumous album thrown together by other producers, but was intended as his 4th lp along with the Rainbow Bridge material. Axis Bold As Love was always my favorite lp.

Yeah, I didn't include any posthumous stuff, JH didn't have any control over those. Oh, while I'm at it 1. Fresh Cream 2. Disraeli Gears 3. Wheels of Fire 4. Goodbye |
