MTV's Redundant Poll For People Who Care Way Too Much.
I hate polls, but I can't believe My Bloody Valentine are getting swept under the rug by some teenybopper ****fest.
MTV's Musical March Madness 2013 |
NIN vs HTDA
whats that about ...LOL |
what even is this poll. I laughed loudly at the drubbing Tokyo Hotel are giving MBV. It just seems like random artists competing randomly.
I find that I don't care for most artists on this list and ties like Ed Sheeran Vs Guns N Roses; is just like voting for either dog **** in your left eye or dog **** in your right eye. The comment section is ridiculous also. |
I don't care who wins. I don't know anyone who watches MTV so I guess I know my opinion about the network. But the choice of bands, and the match-ups...I mean its like they picked a 40 year old alternative rock DJ to choose 50% of the acts.

(SELF EDIT DUE TO FACT: I read the front page, not the actual voting page. Continue worrying!)

Tokio Hotel fans are getting so mad, it's too funny.
"HEY DEY CHEAT OMG WTF" |
I don't know about that, you're the one who posted this in the first place. Must have had a significant enough impact on you as you felt obligated to post it here.
Also 'teenybopper ****fest'. I conclude you are the one who is indeed 'mad'. On a related note, I didn't much care for the new MBV. Perhaps it's a grower or whatnot but I already have Loveless so I don't have much desire to persevere with the new LP as many of you have effectively dubbed it Loveless 2.0 anyway. |
Maroon 5 vs The Shins? LOL! The Shins are a million times better.

I read the front page with all those very small numbers on it for each band. I did not think to actually go to the voting page. EDIT at 8PM: OK. I kind of found out about the numbers attached to the bands. I thought they were the actual number of votes. Too-quick reaction, I guess. |

Now I can say some official words - at least one of the bands I voted for is winning. It seems that NIN fans voting for NIN now. You have to admit that "Closer" is certainly one of the very, very few videos of The 90's that deserves it's well known status. Actually, The Downward Spiral was a major favorite car tape of the Summers of 94 and 95, visiting a cousin who shared some of my music tastes. Sometimes personal memories help out on my choices. As for MBV, hey, I vote with my heart and thanks to Loveless, they got it. I'm still hearing the new one, but that one album that will be among one of my favorites (and it was a great album to drive with on hot Summer days in the country around 5-6 AM.). Tokyo Hotel certainly have their fans, although let's say that I'm not that into their music - agree to disagree. Also voted for Jack White. Sadly, he's also being whomped in the votes by Linkin Park. Now THERE'S something to worry over in a very trivial kind of way. My small contribution to Pop Culture has ended for the day... |
yeah i voted for Destory Angles over NIN just cause i think it would make trent happy if his side project was a success or really his "main" band now
and green day beating Deftones i get it Greenday is wayy more popular why i will never know tho |

And I'm one of the few people who view "M B V" as a separate album than a continuation from "Loveless". So good job as pegging me as some asshole "Loveless" worshiper. |

Never really was a Green Day fan, so I might want to give Deftones a vote later. |
It was fun to go through and guess which artist would be winning by Mtv standards. There was about two close calls that caught me off guard.
|
Those are some random ass match ups
Bruce sprinsteen Vs Coheed & Cambria? The boss man ofc! im not voting on those weird ass match ups i mean Blink 182 Vs Pear jam? C'mon.. >_> |
I could easily tell Coheed and Blink would win those match ups. If it was like Vh1 doing the polls then the results would be the opposite way around.
