It doesnt matter the number of instruments someone plays, it does not make them more or less talented.

If the discussion was on "who is the better musician" that is one thing.

BUT


If we are looking at an artists overall talent, impact, influence and ability to entertain, it is very narrow minded to ONLY look at the number of instruments they play.

The thing with prince is he has like a mystic aura about him that over hypes his music and public persona.
Yea, it's great the dude can play anything, props to him for that but he is not the only musician who can do that.

Like i said earlier, im not a fan of either, i don't know in detail their discography. but ive heard a few songs from prince that ppl call genius and they weren't that impressive.

We all have our opinions man. MJ def has talent, my preference goes to Prince though. Just wanted to make sure you weren't basing your opinion on Purple Rain because that's a really, really terrible overrated awful song.

I love Prince (he is a genius in his own right)

MJ is far more talented and has made the bigger impact out of the two.

I would have to say MJ but that's only based on knowing his songs, I really don't know a lot of prince songs. Pop music doesn't do a whole lot for me to be honest haha,

Dude it makes more sense to me to measure them by achievements rather than how many instruments they can play.

I would say Prince, YES it's arguably a better musician than MJ because he mastered a couple of instruments, but Mj though not a strong musician as prince is a better entertainer.

And the thing is MJ knew how to arrange songs just like prince, they both had that knowledge
