Default Themed Mixtapes

This is a hobby I got in to a while ago now after someone came up with it on a much smaller, sort of private forum I used to post on. The idea was that each week, a selected user would host their own mixtape on the website for everyone to listen to. So the idea was basically to make your own album in a sense, just with already existing songs. The idea was to make the songs transition well in to each other, but often, they'd have a theme.

For instance: I once made one entirely by the band Boris, as they're an incredibly varied band who do everything from stoner metal to Jpop, another user made one entirely out of film/sountrack music, my friend made one of Asian black metal, in sections. Like, Japan, China, Taiwan, etc.

Due to the high amount of school shootings recently, I decided to make my mixtape with all the songs related to that, or just shootings/guns in general. I was surprsed when I thought about it, the amount of songs I enjoyed that were related to it.

This mixtape isn't entirely focused on the songs flowing well in to each other. But this is how it looks at the moment.

The Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays
Pearl Jam - Jeremy
La Dispute - King Park
Nightwish - The Kinslayer
Aerosmith - Janie's Got A Gun
The Beatles - Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Nancy Sinatra - Bang Bang
Marilyn Manson - The Nobodies
Goldie Lookin' Chain - Guns Don't Kill People, Rappers Do
Flyleaf - Casie

So has anyone ever done any sort of themed mixtape things like I have? It's something I recommend doing, it's fun. Or if you were to make one with the same subject as mine, what would you do? Or for any subject, what songs would you choose?
