Is it just me or is this thread dumb? Maybe people aren't "rebelling" by listening to dubstep or house or whatever the hell, maybe they just want to listen to it.

Maybe this is some teenage drama stuff I don't understand.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

My broken printer makes better music than any dubstep artist.

Dubstep can be good, most is terrible. You have to do a lot of searching to find good stuff. It's a pretty limited genre though imo.

I don't know about rebelling as the OP words it but I do think some people who listen to Dubstep don't actually like it or the music itself, they just say they do as it's the in thing and they like to be associated with it.

It seems like when people grow tired of the pop charts they put on a "let's listen to some real music" attitude, and start listening to dubstep instead. That's what I mean.

i agree actually, Nirvana has suddenly become popular again with house and dubstep. I still go to school and all of the people who 'hate' pop listen to it. It's gotten to the point where people start thinking Guns N Roses and Nirvana were clothing lines -.-

Admittedly, I've heard some pretty cool stuff by looking around on Youtube and seeing suggested videos, but I don't really go out of my way to find dubstep artists. This one however is pretty cool:

Yep same here, I cannot be bothered to sift through all the shite. The stuff being released now is barely even music.

Not feeling that if I'm honest. Do you not like the older stuff like this?
