brown....when i think of bluegrass music i immediately think of dirty honkies in overalls with straw hanging out of their mouths playing jugs...or hippies

Guys. Just wondering. Have you ever really even thought about giving colors to music genres before learning about this thread?

I heard something about assigning notes colors before, but not genres.

Lisnaholic nobody is stopping you from using fonts if you think that you can express your opinion better by using fonts

Also I got another idea. Give colors to bands/songs you listen to :P.

I agree with jazz being purple, and in various shades. Acid Jazz would be dark purple, bebop would be brighter.
Speaking of shades, Metal would have to be various shades of dark gray.

Why white?
Even "christian" music in the metal style is known as "unblack metal"

I likened the shades of dark gray to the different sub-genre of metal:
black metal, death metal, etc.
