I like driving to ambient music, it's when I'm most receptive to it. I like to listen to a lot of my music too because when I'm driving, it's extra time that I can use to get more acquainted with my work. But I also like really abrasive music when I'm driving as well, such as This Heat's "Horizontal Hold". I'm also a fan of turning off the music and throat singing or just screaming. I get some pretty hysterical looks when I have my windows down at stoplights.

I don't know... I've heard that car accidents are more common with people who act like idiots while they're driving - texting, no hands on the wheel, two footed driving, being drunk or high... all that stuff, lol

I love <3 tobin, but I kinda think "Always" makes a better driving tune. All the same, I have never heard Easy Muffin so thanks for posting it.
As for my favorite driving song, well it totally depends on the car. I drove a really effin cute VW cabrio for 6 years, and with the top down, the best song for convertible teeny-bopping fun was and will always be... |

I think there's no problem with listening to music while driving as long as you dont let it distract you. I dont drive but I often listen to music via my mp3 player while in the car. Sometimes I find the scenery more exciting than the music though, so I dont always listen to music while in the car.

I love listening to something with a pulsating rhythm that's in a bit of a loop. It's kind of hard to explain, a friend put it perfectly once, but I honestly can't remember how he phrased it. Something like this is always on a driving mix:

On the way to work today I busted out De La Souls singles collection. I like something smooth occassionally and something harder at times. Probably throw on Conflict on the way home.

Music while driving is most the time a must for me unless its a lengthy road trip. That may sound odd but after a couple hours of cd's and radio play, silence becomes my friend. But if its just the usual, then I'm probaly listening to something and genre depends on the mood.

I usually only listen to music on lengthy trips actually, like a hour or so at least, since theres no point in beginning to listen to something, only to be forced to take the earphones off 5-10 minutes later.
