Serioussssslllyyyy. I only ever like the songs that in the native language anyway. Did you catch "Crno i belo" by Kaliopi from Macedonia? So amazing (for Eurovision). I voted for her all the way.

Default Updates!

A few more songs have been released for Eurovision, plus there were a few I left out anyway.

First up is Belarus:

I think this song is good, but the accordion theme has been overused of late. Nothing new or innovative here. 4/10

Next is Denmark, a country that routinely submits interesting stuff but is never a crowd favorite. With a pop ballad and a catchy chorus this year, though, my hopes are high!

I give this one 7/10, the panpiper makes it my favorite so far.

Getting excited...

I like listening to the songs, even though I can't be involved in it. Out of all the ones posted, I thought 10 seconds in the Ukraine song were interesting (1:00-1:10), and I liked Denmark's too. It'd be cool if more countries did truer representations of their music instead of just creating commercialized, vapid, pop songs. There's enough of that out there already.

You can always count on Serbia for that! I'm excited to see who they pick this year, especially after their serial androgynous thing.

I agree on your bit about Ukraine, but I just do not like that girl. And what is UP with their recent African-looking people thing? I like diversity but wtf Ukraine? Did you see last year's entry?

Oh....dear. Eurovision is continuing to look very bleak this season, and my disappointment runs very deep. A few more selections have been revealed, I don't think you'll like any of them but hey, what the heck.

First up (and most recently) is Italy, with this self-destructive piece of crap.

2/10 - While I am pleased that the song is in Italian, it could be my least favorite so far. Vomited ravioli everywhere.

ALSO: WHY ARE YOU UNDERWATER?

Next up is Latvia. Enough glitter and gayness to support a LGBT youth group's annual activities for three years, but, I guess...it's not bad as a Eurovision pop song.

5/10 - Horns good, tone quality bad.

Some kinda crazy is happening to Slovenia. Is that...dub...step...? And this is the second or third year dubstep has made a cameo in Eurovision. FTW? I like it but I don't think it's welcome.

4/10 - Pretty plain song, except for the beats...which are also somehow plain.

Thoughts?

Last year I really enjoyed watching the eurovision but I don't know about this year. And it sucks that the song that will represent my country was selected internally by our national television and not by the people. Does anybody know if that's also common in other countries?

It is indeed. Spain has a history of doing that, as does Turkey, France, and the UK. No worries, mate. Usually the song the people pick is crap all the same.

Emil Solli-Tangen and Gromth - Alone - MGP semifinal Steinkjer - YouTube
This was so terrible that I really hoped they would win. At least it would've been memorably terrible.
