Software for managing a music collection
Hi all. I'm new to this group and looking to see if anybody else has solved my problem.
I'm currently using iTunes to manage my music collection and don't like the way it does lots of things. I'm hoping to find a better solution. I'm looking for software with the ability to consistently import error-free music from my CD collection to my computer in a number of formats which support tags - I don't mind Apple's ALAC but would like to use FLAC as well. I'll use lossy formats on my iPod but I'm not prepared to use MP3 (or similar) on music that I play on my sound system. I'd also really like the software to be able to handle the HQ FLAC formats that can be downloaded from a few of the on-line music stores. Any suggestions? Regards Ewen |
