pet peeves you have about music
I'll be honest, they are a few bands I heard on the radio that I thought were new until I got online, looked them up and found out they had been around for awhile. However what pisses me off is this: For example, I met people in my life that thought Green Day were new when they came out with american idot. I had someone to actually argue with me about that. (I know its kind of stupid, but yeah it happened). Its ok to never hear about a band or singer until later on during there career and its always cool to discover new music, thats not what makes me mad, its the thing about how they think they are right about the band or singer being new without looking up known facts when everything is on the internet.
Another one I have, is the fact Corey Taylor wanted to sing with Justin Bieber. I still like his music and I still listen to stone sour and slipknot, it didn't piss me off that bad, but it made me sick that he had such an idea. what makes are some pet peeves you have? I thought the same about The Frozen Autumn, but I didn't hear them on the radio I discovered them on youtube. Since they had such an 80s sound I thought they were a new retro-band during 80's Dark Wave. As far as music goes The Frozen Autumn are a much better band than lets say Lacuna Coil as an example since both come from Italy, but I guess since LC is Metal they get more attention. Certain types of music especially Pop, Metal and hip hop has such a strong network, media attention and wide fan base it over shadows what else is out there.

My cousin is into all that sort of stuff, not sure if it's offensive to refer to it as 'emo' ? Anyway all that kind of stuff, can't stand it. |

People who download music off things like Limewire (does this even still exist lol?) and Youtube. I can't get my head around why people would do this? The quality is awful, especially with Youtube rips.
This is 10 times worse if the person owns Beats as well. |

For some reason, teenage hipsters with more obscure music taste than I drive me crazy. There isn't even a reason, I just feel like someone who is old enough to be my little sibling can't have more pretentious interests than I.

I think one of mine is when a music piece starts off with a great introduction, then is ruined by the vocals or lyrics. It's quite a downer because despite the instrumentation being good, the vocals or lyrics have just enough of an impact to turn you off the entire production.
