My main issue was the first point I brought up to be honest. Everyone is different of course.

Hardcore dance music. Each to their own, but it's beyond my comprehension how people gain enjoyment from it.
When bands, playing live, screw around with a song's composition (which is usually your favourite track) and pretty much ruin it. Myself for feeling the unecessary need to gain more music, by whatever means, just because I know I can, as there's such a huge amount of music out there and therefore try to justify to myself getting another 10 albums when I haven't listened to the 10 albums I got six months ago yet because I haven't had time AND knowing that I probably will never find time to listen to any of them, remembering that, once upon a time, I was more than happy with a handful of albums, without the need or want of any more so what the f**k changed? (phew!). |

When so called "artists" (usually ****ty dance ones) release covers of old songs and people thinks its the original then on hearing the original say they prefer the ****ty dance one.
For instance a dance artist called Boogie Pimps destroyed jefferson airplanes Somebody To love and people think the dance one is the original song, maybe its more that people annoy me rather than anything to do with music . |

I'm the poster-child of Goofle's approach: I blow through loads of albums to try and focus on what I immediately like, and have been criticized here for not spending my time with works other people deem classics.
That said, a couple of my favourite albums have taken me years to come around to, most notably Loveless, which I thought was average for well over the first 30 listens, but has now become one of my favourite albums, even to my own surprise. In the end, I just hold on to anything I think is intriguing or might come in handy in the future, then stop thinking about it after that. One day I might feel like throwing it on and it'll click, or worst case it'll sit in silence on my hard drive. It doesn't really matter to me, because in the end I'm really enjoying my discovery. |

Bands that are half decent with annoying cretinous smug fanboys that put you off wanting to listen to said band.
See Rush, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin and many many others.
