Well, we've lost another legend, folks.
Probably the first name in Indian classical music, Ravi lived a life dedicated to music in a way few have come close to. Very sad. Rest in peace. I'm currently listening to the Ravi and Philip Glass collaboration Passages. If you haven't heard it, I recommend you do.

Yep, heard this am on the news. He was 90 something so he lived a long and I'm assuming fulfilling life.

Very sad. I'm in the camp that knows Ravi mainly through his associations with the Beatles/George Harrison. I remember his performance for the Concert for Bangladesh film, which I found rather interesting because I had never seen Indian-style instruments being played before. I always kept a look out for his albums at the record shop, but never saw any. If some albums in particular get name dropped in this thread I might seek them out. R.I.P.
