i'm really not trying to be argumentative. just trying to get an idea of what you're after here. so would you mind going back to my post and telling me which of those artists don't meet your criteria?

I'd rather not put a virtual dunce cap on people nice enough to post here. Oh, you just meant your post. Of that list, I'd say Immortal Technique and Ben Howard don't meet the criteria. I've never heard them, and I am guessing they have never been on standard American MTV or American radio.

Rick Wakeman - he's entertaining just when he talks, as well as being a great keyboard player.

that's kind of what i was getting at really. i figure, if i can list off a few things i respect about a person whom some people might not be aware of, those things i list might provoke the use of google, and the artist gets a bit more attention that they may not have otherwise received.

aside from that, everyone i listed has sold over a million units.

I'm glad you see sense. :)

This is an example of a respectful and friendly new person.

Who even listens to the radio? It's full of rubbish that the masses flock to. The only station I would listen to is a classic rock station but I'm to busy to bother.
