Bands That Had Loads of Hype, How Popular Are They Now?
This thread is really more suited for the long time members of the forum, or people who have been on music forums & chat rooms for a number of years.
The Klaxons Remember them? The band that you couldn't get away from anywhere in 2007? I did a forum search on them.... Number of posts on musicbanter mentioning them in the last 4 years = 25 Any other bands you can think of that have had such a spectacular falling of popularity since you've been a member of the boards?

I don't recall NME magazine hyping Empire! Empire! (I was a Lonely Estate) or anyone saying that Prawn were going to be the next big thing.
Most people just have preconceived notions about what they deem 'emo' and turn an ignorant ear to some exceptional music. Their loss. |
