I thought this thread was about bands that were hyped here (and other music forums). No?

Nobody even remembers Snowing, really. everybody was all "IT'S SO SKRAMZ" and then the p4k type people hyped the mother****ing hell out of them, even though they were pretty average and not doing anything groundbreaking. now i haven't heard anything about them in a year or two. i think they broke up.

yeah, Snowing weren't screamo but whatevz.
And I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted and F*ck Your Emotional Bullsh*t are great records.
They accomplished more in those two albums than most bands do in a lifetime.

I don't know, I assumed when Urban mentioned other forums and chat rooms he was referring to bands that were hyped among music fans in general.

It doesn't matter where they were hyped, although I think the second part of the question in the thread title has been somewhat lost somewhere.
