Bob Lind is the very definition of "one hit wonder" with this song:
This song almost topped the charts in both the US and the UK, and did reach no. 1 in some Australian cities. He has never had any other charting singles in the US, the UK or Australia, or anywhere else as far as i know, nor any charting albums, despite having written and recorded dozens of songs, probably more than a hundred. ---------------------- Some of the "one hit wonders" mentioned in this thread are only that if you restrict yourself to certain countries. I know we are allowing a bit of latitude, but many of them are not even 2- or 3-hit wonders, they had many hits. For example, Nena had several hits in her native Germany. The Box Tops had several other hits besides "The Letter", at least one of which ("Soul Deep") was a top 10 hit. If A-ha were a one-hit wonder, that would be news to Norwegians.
