Default Indian style nasal wailing?

I'm trying to identify this type of music. It's a high pitched, nasally slur of vocal tones. I don't know how else to describe it. I've been googling off and on for quite some time. If I have it right, it used to sung fairly a cappella but recently I've started to notice a bass line being added in the small clips that I hear. Any idea where I can find some of this music? I love the sound but I can't find it anywhere.

The only thing that comes to mind is Qawwali, the style Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is known for.

That sounds a little like it but generally it's a female. It kind of sounds as if they're using an instrument. I'm trying to find an example but not sure where to begin. Thank you for the help though!
