Late 60's and early 70's guitar driven progressive rock like Hendrix, the Allman brothers, black sabbath, Led zeppelin, etc. Vinyl really captures the warmth and "electric" feel of the instruments and recording equipment driving the sound of that era.

I think it's late 70's early 80's proto-punk because it all died out shortly after...to give birth to EMO!!! (new people on forum gaspsand I direct them to what is emo thread) No but seriously I love it. First time I listened to End of the Century was magical. Combat Rock too. I LOOOOvE it. Did you experience my theatrics?

lttle connection between STP and stoner rock. I'm thinking more along the lines of Kyuss, Qotsa, The Melvins, Clutch, Sleep etc. |
