I received as my gift...

Suuns - Zeroes QC
An interesting mixture of indie rock and experimental electronica. The music is very rhythm-based with influences seemingly being taken from krautrock and dance music, as well as taking some darker and more abrasive inspiration from post-punk. There's all kinds of left-field experimentalism being thrown in, such as the bizarre-sounding vocals on 'Pie IX' and some cool psychedelic keyboard effects. Even some songs such as 'Up Past The Nursery' are oddly catchy and hypnotic.

While it is an interesting and very artistic album for the most part there were moments where my attention seemed to wander somewhat, particularly towards the end. Even the good moments feel like they are missing that extra little something special to make it a really great album overall. But as a whole it's certainly not a bad album at all.

I'm 98% certain that it was Pedestrian who sent this to me herself, as she seems to be a big fan of this album. Anyways thanks for the gift!

Oh no! I'm happy that you picked up the slack. You're the best.

My review will be up soon.

I honestly don't remember who had whom, but a few people got albums from me.

I was honestly pretty jazzed your Santa forgot you, because you were one of the few people I felt I had a lot of options to choose from. Shame I didn't pick quite the right one!

I think you made a good choice, anything half decent would still have been a welcome gift :)

I'm so sorry, zero, I feel terrible. My laptop croaked the day after finals (I'm using my grandmother's at the moment) and I've been trying to get it fixed ever since. Since I'm a jackass and never bothered to back anything up my digital files aren't currently available. Once my laptop gets fixed I'll send you something nice. Again, I'm really sorry!

How have people made out with their gifts? I'm sure your santas would love to know.
