band names...how do they get them?
I just read an article on the Web2Carz website (under their "Lifestyle" tab) that a lot of band names are references to either, a) other bands or b) "offensive" material. (The piece I mentioned hilariously names them). Do we think this is accurate? The piece mentions Peal Jam, Green Day, AC/DC, Minus The Bear, Death Cab For Cutie and others.

It's usually just an inside joke or something along those lines.

They're assigned the names by the government.

I think bands should be assigned code numbers instead.
That way you won't have the problem of bands using the names of bands that already exist. I'm really looking forward to DGS67WHDGD32'S new album. |

they really sold out when they released 35363273F |
^HAHA
Otherwise, what I’ve noticed is most bands have a “Verb”-ing article word (as in “the”) - Noun. Something along those lines, it’s pretty standard. |
Metal bands get their names this way
