The same sort of thing happens to me--well, or the opposite thing depending on how you look at it--on the "worst covers" thread. For probably a majority of the covers posted I think, "What?? That's a great cover!"

I think the worst thread has more "hilariously bad" covers. This thread seems to be a combination of covers that are super busy or just corny. I'm a bigger fan of simplicity.

Melodic/power/prog metal bands really are the worst for that ****. Even albums I love have covers that hit me right in my soul in a dark way.

I like simplicity. I prefer covers that use unique color schemes. Like the cover for my album.
