The only song on that list that I can conjure up in my mind without a YouTube video is "Under Pressure". I'm sure I've probably heard a few of the others but they're definitely not in the "everyone has heard this" category for me.

Well dang dawg I'll put links. I won't embed them though because that makes threads load SO SLOWLY

I have a love for Elliott Smith that passes fan boy. If he were alive, i'd make it my goal to shake his hand at least once. I suppose I could do that now, but that'd take some work.

Just stick spoiler tags around the youtube tags and they won't slow down the page...

Oh, and I don't know any of those songs (bar the Queen/Bowie of course), so I'll just hand in my membership pin now and be on my way, shall I?

If it's an consultation, I know/have heard 7/10 of the songs that you posted. I'll make a list as well I guess...

1. pg.lost - Kardusen
2. Tool - Wings For Marie pt. 2
3. Jon Anderson - Olympia
4. Anathema - Untouchable pt. 1
5. The Decemberists - The Mariners Revenge Song
6. Devin Townsend - Gaia
7. Knight Area - A Million Lives
8. Elliott Smith - Waltz #2
9. Joe Satriani -War
10. Sigur Ros - Andvari

This list probably changes every day, but those are just the first ten that I could think of.

That's "spoiler", Yorkedaddy, not "hide". The one that says "show/hide". You highlight the YT link, click on the Spoiler and it should pop up a window in which you can write a quick description of the video, then it'll appear as just a line on the post, with a button to "show" or "hide" the video, as people wish.

^ I figured it out finally! haha

I was just under the impression that everyone here knew every song ever and that my music taste in comparison was incredibly generic so I figured everyone here would know the songs I like without a doubt.
