It's the US edition your're referring to. Capitol knew that the EP format never sold well in the US market (They alredy tried a couple back in the Beatlemania), so they just went for the full album format. In my opinion, it was the ONLY time their re-package concept worked as it actualy enhanced the Beatles '67 experience and enlarged the artwork up for the album format.
