To think I complained when this thread was about the Beatles.

Er... I raised that exact point in the very first reply to this thread. Are you just trying to troll or something?
They have "What's Goin On" in the top 10 that is the greatest "Pro-black" album there is. lol..
They praise Stevie Wonder,Jimi Hendrix,James Brown,Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye..and also in the top 100 greatest singers of all time Aretha Franklin is listed as the number 1 (which i don't agree with)
So let's not even go there!

What the hell are you talking about? Did you actually read what I wrote? It really isn't that hard to understand.

And none of those people except Marvin Gaye are in the top ten list we're discussing here so what the fuck is your point?

So, jans, what you're saying is there should be more black artists in the top 10 simply because they're black?

I love a lot of these records but there is so much more amazing music out there that RS doesn't even acknowledge. It's like that guy in his 50's who just plays the same Styx and REO records over and over again in his car because they remind him of high school. No wonder RS is completely irrelevant and has been for a loooooong time.
Besides from the past, they really just target those that broke out in fame, and popularity. For instance Jack White listed in the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, which is a joke.

A guy who almost single handedly made raw blues influenced rock cool again in the underground and transferred that over to mainstream success and managed to sustain it for over a decade.

No I can't think why they'd include him either.

Plus he's legitimately an incredibly skilled guitarist!
