Not doubting that there are. Was just giving reasons why The Beatles were easy to pass through.

I didn't really like them upon first exposure, but after a couple listens and with some pushing, they're one of my top ten bands.

Exact same here. I used talk down on them, they used to be some pussy pop band in my eyes, but then i gave them a chance and started researching their music and really developed a great respect for them. I realized they weren't as simple as they can appear to be, and weren't a formulaic pop band. They were actually are quite experimental and innovative for popular music. They were always developing and experimenting with their sound, more so than most rock/pop bands.

i actually met Paul McCartney at one of my dinner parties that i held in the early seventies. Conversation was a bit stale at first and then i asked him,

"So Paul...which route did you take to get here?"

to which he replied

"The long and winding road! That leads, to your door!"

I nodded, biting absently into snack size sausage roll, knowing of course that he meant the B842.

Now I'm curious now, did you ever get a chance to meet Dave Edmunds, Tom Jones or Bonnie Tyler?

Tom regularly visited, and we once spent the entire day making cringeworthy jokes out of song titles and lyrics....many found this activity to be rather unusual......but Tom always assured them it's not....

Wait let me guess you almost met Dave Edmunds Saturday night, and you eexpress your love for Bonnie but she told you turn around bright eyes and that it's nothing but a heartache - nothing but a fool's game. Am I right?
