Not really. I just read posts. Janz even made a thread dedicated to reviewing Beatles albums. I've noted time and time again how much I love Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. A bunch of members in Janz's thread even gave their opinion on which Beatles album they liked.

I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about here.
Screamadelica was the most anticipated British rock album of the 1990s before it came out, as much as some people would want you to think it was Loveless.
Acid house/ Dance music & rock music were diametrically opposed before this came out, this album changed all that. It was critically acclaimed, it was publicly acclaimed and it transcended genres. So why exactly would you say it wasn't able to attract a broad audience?
It did just that, 1992 was the year of Screamadelica in any British music publication you could pick up.

Why wait that long? the albums by those bands came out 20 - 30 years ago already.

well actually the reason i did it is because we're in exactly the same situation. You were told by someone on this forum that they have met several over dedicated Stones fans. You yourself havent met them...so you said "ill take your word for it"

i was told by someone (you) that you have met several over dedicated beatles fans. I myself have not met them...so i said "i'll take your word for it"

"Exactly the same situation"? Really? I've been here for five years. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that probably gives me a better sense of what gets talked about a lot here than someone who just joined last week.

You were actually told that by several people, not just me.
