Hmmm... that's really hard. Are you asking for top 5 in general, or just from the 80s?

Fire In Cairo just sounds like a bad Wire track to be honest.

So yeah, really don't get interested when a Cure track comes on. I generally like bands in their style, but there's something very "meh" about them. I find it very hard to care about anything they have done.

I am actually the same with The Smiths in general, but their stand out tracks/singles are still great to me.

A very good song to be sure but not nearly as fun as "Fire in Cairo".

Can somebody tell me what's so appealing about The Smiths? I never really understood why. Perhaps I'll give them another go...

The real ironic thing is Morrisey would totally get more ass if he didn't love the cock so much.

This article probably isn't serious, but could an article be any more biased and ill-informed? Although great songs, comparing 'Plainsong' to 'William, It Was Really Nothing' is pretty much pointless. Two completely different songs with different purposes. Also the album version of 'Pictures Of You' that the writer is referring to is longer and mixed differently to the single version. By the looks of it he's trying to judge The Cure based on the first two songs off Disintegration.
