The Cure. I adore Disintegration.

This is tough. I absolutely adore both bands (as well as Morrissey's solo work), but The Cure will always come out on top for me. Disintegration might be my favorite album of all time.

So I'm definitely going to have to go with the smiths their music just makes me really happy whenever i listen to it...the cure's music drifts me off as soon as i hear it it's perfect before i go to sleep..

I found Wish to be a great album. I honestly like the entire album less two songs. I prefer their previous discography but I don't find Wish to be lame in the slightest. The song Trust guts me everytime.

The Cure for the musical diversity. Easy equation I own The Smiths Singles on CD but 6 Cure CD's (although both bands discographies on MP3) but The Smiths are great when I am in the right frame of mind.

There's some great songs on Wish but they should have really trimmed the running time back a bit, maybe cut 'Wendy Time' and 'End'. Sure it's not as adventurous and engaging as their previous albums but songs like 'Letter To Elise', 'High' and 'Apart' are great songs. But I suppose coming after Disintegration it probably would have been a disappointment for Cure fans at the time, let's face it nothing can top that.

I really love some of the b-sides from the Wish era, some of them were even better than some songs on the album.

The smiths all the way.

Both bands have the upper echelon of douche bag in their frontman, but i will take morrisey's cheekiness over robert smiths gothic sadness.

Smiths have funner singles

The Smiths, though it's a tough call. I loved both of them growing up, but I love Morrissey.
