I was secretly hoping to change your mind about thinking The Smiths are boring. So I took a few of their more upbeat songs to prove a point, though it didn't work.

The Shankly song is good. I like The Smiths.
But The Cure wins.
No Way enough people will vote for The Smiths to overtake this heated competition. Concede, Smiths voters.

I would say I feel the reverse. The instrumentation is often pretty dull on Smiths songs and it's only Morrissey who brings a little spice.

That's because they were never credited for it.

You'll find it on pretty much every Sandie Shaw compilation.
