I think they're brilliant. The topic may not be creative, but the presentation is. The only lines I dislike are:

But sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled
Making Christmas cards with the mentally ill

Other than that it's a sarcastic yet strangely tragic attack at the lifestyle choice that people make when they live unfulfilling lives. And the music to back these lyrics up is great, and The Smiths tell this whole story in just a little over two minutes! It's great!

I've yet to come across a Smiths song that isn't boring.

I have yet to come across a Smiths song this boring. The Cure never grab me as a band that I thought I had to collect all their albums. The Cure are... [yawn] I got to bed now.

you obviously can't understand why Morrissey is incredible, no loss though. Not every Smiths song is boring.

Smiths can be depressing but that isn't boring. What is suppose to be a boring Smiths song?

The boring factor probably comes from Morrissey mostly. Sometimes his voice can seem like it doesn't really go anywhere. Not saying I have noticed that, just being devils advocate.

Give me an example. Everything I've heard so far were hardly captivating, and it's not just Morrissey, it's the entire musicianship.
