i see true talent in music is someone who uses their instrument to it's fullest potential. and in acdc, a good example, the lead singer played no instrument, in the band at least. and he didn't have a good voice, if he did then he didn't use it.
and i'll give the credit to where it's due, and nirvana and pearl jam started the whole grunge rock era, tho i'm not a big fan of it, they did start it which led to some of the other genres which i enjoy today. but seriously, listen to the words of their songs, they have no significant meaning and all of their songs sound like choruses........and the same. you can have your opinion and thats cool, if you like that kind of music whatever, but they both really, really annoy me.

All these male pop artists. You know Ronan Keating, Timberlake, Robbie Williams, Ricky Martin, Blunt. And then theres the last cab off the rank "rock" bands such as Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Foo Fighters (the current Dave Grohl on vocals era) and a handful more. They're staple "hate bands", it's just a forgone conclusion that this lot are crap. But they always get mentioned to add value to the list of bands one hates.
Next is your trademark hardrock wannabes like Disturbed, Seether, LB, LP, Mudvayne, those sort of bands who could produce decent music but don't, due to some flaw such as maybe Fred Durst, or too much focus on trying to be popular. Having one eye on the prize leaves you only one eye to do a good job. Tsk tsk tsk. Then we have bands who are good at what they do but just purely suck in my eyes for the type of music they play. Such as Coldplay. And Goddamn Audioslave, such potential. I swear they were put on this planet to make some mean music but they won't steer clear of this soul/pop/rock "Cause it doesn't remind me of anything", good song but it's not their bloody style! Damn you Cornell, why can't you see we want Jesus Christ Pose vocals with RATM - Wake Up music. That sorta stuff. None of this touchy feely Be Yourself rubbish. Why can't this lot be cool like Britney.

xiu xiu has one song i like, i'd have to ask my friend what it is, but whenever she has them on i'm like groaning and happy when they're done. scissor sisters are just idk i really just don't get alot of them, maybe it's the lead singer's voice. i do like the songs with the guy's voice ok. and the yeah yeah yeahs, i really haven't found any reason not o be abboyed with them. if theres a really sweet amazing song that you love and think is worth listening, tell me, i'll give it a try.

I`m bored of hating U2 & Coldplay & there`s so many others on this forum who`ll do a good job of it so from now on i`m directing my bile at one of the most annoyingly smug bands to ever grace the planet.....
