That first one is Howard, isn't it? Is that his fee, clutched in his hand??

I really liked Geekoid`s Tree-In-A-Library picture, but scrolled pretty fast past all those SF/Gothic Fantasy/Comic Book ones which seem to be particularly popular.
I guess I prefer a more tranquil style of art:-

To be honest I haven't even listened to this album, but the album art is so epic it had to be posted. I can't find any links unfortunately.
^ Presumably Zer0 is being tongue-in-cheek about this one:
the animal looks like one that I was perched on as a five-year-old, to have my photo taken at the seaside
of the three words on the album cover, one is illegible

I'm glad somebody else noticed the trend. Why the draw to chaos?? Maybe it's because heavier rock doesn't tend to speak to me as well as other genres. The Cinematic Orchestra is excellent, imo, and has very appealing album art. It calls to mind the aesthetic of another favorite of mine...

So it doesn't bother you that those album covers are not very different from, and arguably worse than, the fantasy covers you dislike?

Gallows - In The Belly Of A Shark, it's actually a single but I always thought that cover was amazing.

I've got to be honest, every time I come in here I mistake it for the "worst album covers" thread. No accounting for taste.
