Are you serious with this list? I made it as far as Airbourne before I had to stop. Really, really, really poor man's rock. In some cases, the music was worse than the song titles and that's saying something. "Metal Will Stand Tall"? Dear me.

The Answer are ok, nothing special, but by far the best out of this extremely tepid bunch. The only other I'd heard of was The Darkness and they annoy the hell out of me with their wannabe-Queen sound.

It did kind of remind me of the late '80's / early '90's - bands like Warrant and The Quireboys - throwaway rock that never got anywhere near the top.

And this is the best that there is nowadays?

I'm not a big fan of the Darkness either, I always thought he had more of a Michael Jackson-like vocals though, extremely high pitched and girlish..

No, absolutely not, because the stuff that is actually "good" today you won't like since it is not set in the 80's.. The best stuff though in my opinion is Folk Metal is what I normally listen to although it features less guitar work since they focus more on folk instruments..
