I agree - there's definitely a lot more variety out there than people think. It's a shame though that people like Justin Bieber and Rhianna seem to be dominating the music world, particularly in young people, when there's so much talent out there and so many great new bands who should be getting played on the radio! Has anyone heard of [my shitty band]? They're a really new band and they're so good! They have strings and no drumkit so it's a really different sound.

Why would you not like.. Battle Beast Lovex The Poodles H.E.A.T. The Answer Airbourne Silvertide Black Spiders The New Black Lynam The Darkness Brother Firetribe Vains of Jenna Private Line Steel Panther Hardcore Superstar Blessed By A Broken Heart Edguy Dragonforce Stratovarius Freedom Call Sonata Arctica Gaia Epicus At Vance Theocracy Firewind Circle II Circle Pyramaze This song was recorded in the 80's.. Helloween - Eagle Fly Free If you like 80's bands? Listen to these bands and then tell me how any of them are much different? Maybe clothing style but that is pretty much it.. But who cares about looks? All I care about is the songs! As long as you are a bard, then that is what matters.. The music.. Last edited by Eyrothath; 06-21-2012 at 07:05 PM. |

The Answer are ok, nothing special, but by far the best out of this extremely tepid bunch. The only other I'd heard of was The Darkness and they annoy the hell out of me with their wannabe-Queen sound. It did kind of remind me of the late '80's / early '90's - bands like Warrant and The Quireboys - throwaway rock that never got anywhere near the top. And this is the best that there is nowadays? The sound or style is irrelevant. I'm yet to hear any evidence that there are bands putting out as high standard of music as the late '80's / early '90's. There were some incredibly good albums released during that period and there doesn't seem to be any now. I really do hope that there are, as it would be very worrying if there wasn't.
