Default Creedence Clearwateer Revival?

What are your thoughts of this amazing swamp rock group? Sure they had huge hits and had a completely different style than everything else that was happening at that time What did you think about their albums though? their sound? their career? what is your favorite album/song? I think their cover of Cotton Fields is a million times better than the Beach Boys version They had a dirty ass, grimey, filthy sound that I loved so much it just made me feel like I was inside of a swamp and making my way to the country.

I love them, but they weren't born on the ****ing bayou.

Seriously though, Fogerty is very talented. I always loved their cover of I Heard It Through The Grapevine, 11 minutes long and what not. It's my favorite version of the song, for sure.

Not as strange as The Band. They wrote some of the most southern, American working man songs ever and every member but one was Canadian.

I have a greatest hits of theirs. I thought about collecting their whole catalogue, but haven't yet so far. Hey Tonight and 99 1/2 Won't Do (which isn't on the greatest hits) are the kind of songs I like by them.

Almost every CCR song is good. And yeah, it's almost like British people doing the Chicago style blues, which was seriously popular there in the 60s.
