I always wanted to collect records as we have a player at home, but there's no record stores in my hometown and i have to go into the city to get any decent music stores. It's not far, but if it's an album I really want i'm far too impatient and end up buying the cd then can't afford to buy a duplicate on vinyl, I'd rather buy another album.

My friend worked at Oxfam's record store last summer and we had a ball hanging round all day just playing vinyl. Some good stuff came in, at bargain prices, but he took first dibs on all the great records. My gran and I have been finding some great rare Hank Williams records on the net lately and ordering those. Fun times.
I may start to expand the collection now that we have a few good ones.

If you have a flea market near by, chech there. I went there the other day and got a couple old punk records for a dollar a piece. They played perfect, and still had the plastic on 'em. You can't beat a dollar for great music!

Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)

Ever since I got my job at a grocery store, I've spent almost all my money from that on music. I now have a music collection nearing 700 items, including my impressive collection of 75 country 8-tracks.

Sigh...I'm a music junkie.
