my fave is "Station to Station" - it's his most "Krautrock" influenced, and a big leap up from "Young Americans" (which I thought was a disaster) and before the overrated "Berlin trilogy" (which are all alright, but I don't have that high an esteem for them)

worst is probably the "Labyrinth" soundtrack - although he did only half of it, those few songs are inexcusable

a disaster? i thought it was a pretty decent album that was his first mainstream attempt lol..and overrated? it is? i love that era those were the first albums by him that i heard and really liked at first listen ..it took me time to get into stuff like ziggy and hunky dory..

he can't sing soul nor funk for peanuts

he oughtn't have tried sounding "black"

yes, the Berlin trilogy is overrated for me, Low and Heroes had some good songs, and some good instrumentals, but had a number of filler as well

he is one of the forefronts for plastic soul and that album showcased it

wow that's so not true ..actually there arent any fillers every song fits perfect on those albums and this is coming from a new fan..

lodger was a very stranger album but it stands well in david's catalog
